Insights
For use in municipal wastewater technology, the microscreen drum system (CarbonExtract®) represents an effective and very economical alternative to conventional screening and primary clarification systems. The heart of the Noggerath® Drum Screens RSH-M / RSH-MG is formed by a rotating drum consisting of sieve baskets mounted to each other.
The raw water passes through the drum from the inside to the outside. In the process, the dirt particles adhere to the screen basket surface. As a result of the rotational movement of the drum, the filter cloth is cleaned by a spraying device, which considerably improves the filtration performance.
Depending on the product version, the cleaning water and screenings are discharged from the drum via the internal dirty water flume, a screenings press or a spiral conveyor. Installation can be in a concrete chamber or in a steel or plastic casing.
